Really the only big difference is that survivor is easier thanks to multi-hit. It's mostly the same otherwise. Zomboid lies when it tells you in Apocalypse stealth is preferred to combat. It's a great mod to do experimental playthroughs but would not recommend it as your main get-go, as it's still very buggy and will extremely lag your game, even with powerful rigs ….
